President

The duties of the President shall include the following:

To chair the annual social gathering and the AGM plus any other event organised by the Alumni.
To serve as official spokesperson of the Alumni to appoint Executive Members.
To represent RMU ALUMNI UK at the other alumni meetings in Pakistan and other countries.

General Secretary

The duties of the Secretary shall include the following:

To supervise and maintain record of meetings.
To supervise and maintain accurate and current records of the members of the RMU Alumni residing in the United Kingdom, to include names, addresses, telephone numbers, year of graduation, specialty and e-mail addresses.
To supervise publications including website.
To notify members about dues, dues-reminders etc.
To perform such other duties that may be required by the President.

Treasurer

The duties of the Treasurer shall include the following:

To conduct all financial affairs of the Alumni.
To act as custodian and transfer for all transactions subject to approval by the Executive Committee.
To make available for audit all records and transactions of the Alumni.
To present an annual report.

Executive Members

The duties of the Executive Members shall include the following:

To serve as members of the Executive Committee
To enlist new members and encourage active participation of other RMU ALUMNI UK graduates.
To perform such other duties that may be required of them by the President.

Elections

Elections are held every two years for General Secretary and Treasurer. The existing General Secretary being promoted to President role. Any members of the Alumni who have been proactive in the previous years are eligible to stand for posts. Self nomination is accepted, but needs two referees for approval. It is not permissible to stand for the same role again.

Constitution

At the most basic level a written constitution will ensure that the organisation is operated in accordance with rules and principles that are known, enforceable, and cannot be unilaterally changed by those in power. The written constitution can be found here.
